The town of Dracut seeks an experienced, forward‑thinking Library Director to lead the M.G. Parker Memorial Library.

Reporting to the Board of Library Trustees with day‑to‑day administrative oversight from the Town Manager, the Director provides strategic leadership, operational management, and community‑centered service development.

Responsibilities include overseeing library programs, staff supervision, budgeting, collection development, technology systems, facilities management, and long‑range planning.

The Director collaborates closely with town leadership, the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium, and community partners to deliver high‑quality, accessible services.

The position requires an ALA‑accredited MLS and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible public library experience, including supervisory experience.

Candidates must demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; knowledge of public library operations and ethics; and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
