Concord Free Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Library Assistant to join the Youth Services team. In this role, you’ll help create a welcoming, engaging space for children and families in our vibrant Children’s Library.
The Children’s Library Assistant provides assistance and circulation services at the busy public service desk in the Children’s Library. Programming responsibilities include leading a weekly storytime and participating in the staff rotation to lead our weekly children’s program in the Workshop, CFPL’s makerspace. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys connecting with families, supporting early literacy, and contributing to creative learning experiences for kids.

This position averages 18 hours per week with the following schedule: Mondays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Wednesdays, 2:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., Thursdays, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., One in four Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Hiring Salary Range: $22.69 (Step 1) – $27.12 (Step 10) per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Please note that the full salary range has 20 steps.
