The town of Upton seeks to fill the full-time, benefited position of Department Specialist to support the Department of Land Use and Inspectional Services, including support to the Planning Board, Conservation Commission, and the office of the Town Manager.

The Department Specialist will provide assistance to department staff, Planning Board, and Conservation Commission in the administration and enforcement of town bylaws, subdivisions, wetlands laws, and other regulatory matters. Prepares and distributes memos or correspondence; maintains files; prepares vouchers for various payments of expenses; maintains department webpage and posts on the town/department social media sites; and prepares meeting minutes for approval and distribution.

Must have excellent time management skills, organizational skills, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and website/social media postings.
