Full-time IT Specialist

Towns of Millis and Norfolk

The towns of Millis and Norfolk are seeking applications from qualified individuals for the shared full-time position of IT Specialist. This position is responsible for providing daily technical computer support to town employees. Responsible for management of all hosted computer services contracted by the town of Millis, exclusive of the school department. Will work with Microsoft operating systems on both servers and PCs, Microsoft Office applications and interfacing with printers, switches, routers and firewalls, other network devices and Microsoft Azure. Must coordinate support with external support companies and other organizations whose products are in use throughout each town. The position also will provide desktop support for the town of Norfolk. This position will work with, and report directly to the Town Administrator in Millis and the IT Director in Norfolk.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or scientific disciplines.
  • Experience in managing hosted services
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and thin clients required
  • Minimum of five years hands-on experience with corporate or government IT systems.

This is a 35 hour per week position with excellent benefits with an estimated starting annual salary of $70,000-$75,000.
