The town of Southbridge is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and strong leader with excellent financial acumen, as well as strong budgeting, economic development, and communication skills to serve as its next Interim Town Manager. Candidates should have a proven record of leadership, be proactive and a strategic thinker, instill confidence and trust that contribute to a positive work environment, and be able to build collaborative relationships with appointed/elected officials, business owners, residents, and employees. The Interim Town Manager is responsible for the provision of administrative and supervisory work overseeing the services provided by all of the town’s departments, commissions, boards, and offices under the jurisdiction and policies of the Town Council. The Interim Town Manager will serve as a resource for the council and is recognized as the department or functional area’s authority in interpreting the town charter, determining how it should be applied, and implementing the policies chosen by the council. Annual salary: $135K+/- based on experience.
