Job Description
Come join a team of dedicated Municipal Building Professionals as our next Inspector of Wires (Electrical Inspector). This position is responsible for electrical inspection and enforcement duties. Expert level of knowledge and understanding of the required electrical code (Massachusetts Electrical Code – 527 CMR 12.00) and regulations which protect the safety of residents and occupants is required. Must possess a Master Electrical License and a Certified Electrical Inspector – Master credential from the International Association of Electrical Inspectors.
Work Schedule is 19 hours per week, Monday through Thursday. Flexible work schedule. Annual compensation is $35,000 plus an annual auto allowance of $10,000 (payable monthly). Benefits include prorated paid time off, longevity, paid holidays, and more. This position is part of the AFSCME, Council 93, Local 2978 bargaining unit.
