The town of Dracut is seeking a forward-thinking leader to guide its municipal technology operations in the full-time, fully benefited, exempt position of Information Technology (IT) Director.

Reporting directly to the Town Manager, the IT Director is a strategic and hands-on professional responsible for the planning, implementation, security, and support of the Town’s technology infrastructure and services (excluding the school department).

This position oversees one on-site staff member and manages external vendors, consultants, and service providers. Key responsibilities include cybersecurity compliance, network and systems administration, disaster recovery planning, and responsive support for all departments, including public safety.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and have at least five years of progressive IT experience, preferably in a municipal setting. Strong technical expertise in Windows Server, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Salary:
Anticipated Hiring Range: $107,416.40 – $124,506.20
Full Range: $107,416.40 – $153,119.85

Schedule: In-person, 35 hours/week

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
