Information Technology Director

The town of North Andover, a AAA bond rated community with a population of over 31,000 and a stable, progressive leadership team, seeks a qualified and dynamic professional for the  non-union, full-time  position of Information Technology Director. This key position oversees the consolidated IT functions of the municipal and school departments and reports to the Town Manager.

This position is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of the town’s business and information systems. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, researching and recommending new technologies, developing operating and capital budgets, and handling the day to day operations of the IT system. The IT Director works closely with the school information technology director to maintain the existing service levels provided to the district as part of the town-wide network.

The successful candidate must possess the management and interpersonal skills to effectively lead an established and vital department and a proven success in managing IT.  Responsibilities may include a variety of other duties and additional special projects assigned by the Town Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:  BA/BS in computer science, information systems or another related field. Minimum of 10 years of IT experience with a minimum of five years of management experience, preferably in a municipal/school setting.

COMPENSATION: Salary depending on qualifications. Maximum of current range: $127,853 annually.
