The Brookline Fire department is seeking a skilled and motivated Information Technology Analyst to lead, manage, and support the department’s mission-critical technology systems. This role is responsible for overseeing the Fire department’s IT infrastructure, including public safety applications, RF radios, hardware, software, and emergency communication systems. The Analyst will work directly with the Fire Chief and town CIO to develop and implement IT strategies that improve emergency response and public safety operations.
Key responsibilities include system maintenance, troubleshooting, project planning, budget management, procurement, and end-user support. The Analyst will also build collaborative relationships with internal departments, vendors, regional partners, and public safety agencies, while providing rapid, effective responses to IT emergencies.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, plus five to seven years of IT support and system administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong skills in Microsoft SQL, Access, Crystal Reports, Windows OS, and RF radio systems are required. Experience in public safety or emergency response settings is preferred.
