The ideal candidate is passionate about building great teams and has experience as a leader who is capable of managing HR Systems and will partner with other stakeholders to design, deploy, streamline and maintain processes, programs, policies to support all areas of HR from talent acquisition, talent experience and learning and development. This position is responsible for all the human resources functions that support the municipal enterprise, including hiring a diverse workforce, ensuring that employee benefits are properly administered, establishing an employee performance review system for management and non-management employees, participating in collective bargaining negotiations, and ensuring the city’s compliance with all applicable local, state and federal employment laws.
