The Marshfield Housing Partnership Committee is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Housing Consultant to provide high level of support in implementation of the Marshfield Community Housing Plan goals, objectives and recommendation, as it may be revised by the Housing Partnership (HP). Duties include but are not limited to maintaining a local fund for accepting, holding, and disbursing funds for creation of housing units. The Housing Consultant will act as spokesperson for the HP and lead all public relations and outreach activities for the ongoing educational effort for residents on the importance of affordable community housing and sustainable design principles. The Housing Consultant interacts not only with the public but also a range of consultants including marketing, financial, and environmental consultants for specific initiatives. Additional duties include future updates to the housing production plan, file reports with the DHCD annually to certify compliance with the Local Initiative Program, issue RFP’s on behalf of the town for new affordable housing development projects, attend meetings of the HP, Town Administrator, and Town Planner regularly, file periodic reports with other town boards and committees as appropriate.

Successful candidates will have strong office and computer skills with excellent communication and mathematical abilities. The HC shall have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least four years professional experience.

This consultant position is up to 35 hours a week and is not benefit eligible.
