The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time 40 hour/week, benefit eligible Mechanic position in the Department of Public Works. The schedule is four 10-hour days per week (Monday-Thursday). This position is responsible for maintenance and repair work on vehicles, trucks, front-end loaders, backhoes and other Department of Public Works vehicles and equipment. Overtime and stand by pay available. Stipends include, CDL, hydraulics, winter stand by and clothing, per the union contract.

Successful candidates will have possession of a CDL class B, hoisting license 2A, 4E and 4G preferred. Minimum three years of experience in gas, diesel and hydraulic repair work. Welding experience preferred. This position will be subject to a thorough background check.

The starting pay rate is $30.78-$32.35/hr., commensurate with applicable licenses and experience. Full range to $38.43/hr. This is a non-exempt position governed by the AFSCME Local 1703 contract.
