The town of Hanson is in search for a qualified candidate to fill the vacant Heavy Equipment Operator position. This position has a work schedule of Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. with overtime availability. Must be available for Snow and Ice Operations.
The employee is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front-end loaders which may have a backhoe attachment, bulldozers, graders, rollers, compactors, snow blowers, snow loader, catch basin cleaner operated by hydraulic hoist, sewer cleaning machine or other pieces of equipment of similar weight, design and complexity. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by Highway Department policies and procedures and other duties as outlined in the job description. Physical effort involved in performing duties under all weather conditions.
The employee must be able to preform any other job or task in positions below their own.
Salary range: $26.58/HR – $30.23/HR
Class B CDL, 2B and 4G Hoisting Engineer Licenses Required. OSHA 10 Certified Recommended.
