The town of Bourne, an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, seeks a qualified candidate for a full-time Health Director. The Health Director is a senior-level position responsible for leading and operating the Health Department. The incumbent manages a wide range of health programs in accordance with local policies, bylaws and state mandates. The incumbent provides leadership to Health Department staff for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a broad range of public health programs in the following areas: environmental health, community health, and administration.

Qualifications and education:
Master’s degree in public health or an equivalent advanced degree; five years of professional experience in a policy or management role in public or community health agency; must be a registered sanitarian and certified health officer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; or any combination of education and experience.

Full/part-time and hours and salary:
The position is a LIUNA Unit B – Grade 9, 37.5 hours/week, benefited position with a starting salary of $93,256 per year.
