The town of Marion seeks qualified applicants for the part-time position (19 hours/week) of Health Agent. Under the general supervision of the Public Health Director and the Board of Health, this position performs field inspections and plan reviews to ensure compliance with and enforcement of the State Sanitary and Environmental Codes, and all other related federal, state, and town laws, bylaws and regulations. Qualified applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (public health, environmental science, sanitary engineering) and one to three years of experience in an environmental and/or health related field, including experience conducting food service inspections and housing. Knowledge of alternative systems approved by Mass. DEP to enhance or provide removal of nitrogen preferred. Current registration as a state sanitarian or RS/REHS, ServSafe, Certified Pool Operator, Title 5 Systems Inspector, and Soil Evaluator.
