The town of Bedford seeks qualified candidates for the Department of Public Works (DPW) Grounds Operations Manager position. This position performs supervisory and skilled work in the care and maintenance of town-operated cemeteries, athletic fields, parks, and other municipal facilities, and manages the day to day operations of the nine-person Grounds Division. This position also works closely with the Public Works Director in the oversight of Shawsheen cemetery lot purchases, interments, and monument installations. This role requires organization and initiative in the application of prescribed policies, procedures, and methods. The Grounds Operations Manager reports to the DPW Director, works closely with other administrative staff, and supervises the Grounds Division. This position periodically attends night meetings and represents the Division and Department in Board, Committee, and other town meetings.

Starting salary range for FY23 is $77,675.69 to $91,272.74, depending on experience. The town of Bedford offers a comprehensive benefits package.
