Under the direction of the Director of Public Works and Deputy Director, the Geographic Information System Specialist (GIS) is responsible for managing all functions of the city’s GIS, ensuring its effective and efficient use, and assisting with the DPW planning activities. The position is responsible for meeting demands for mapping, data, and spatial information/analysis to support all DPW operations. The position provides technical expertise to the city’s short and long-term planning by using up to date GIS technologies.
