TOWN OF MEDWAY

FULL-TIME FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC

Due to retirement within our department, the town of Medway seeks qualified applicants for two full-time positions of Firefighter/Paramedic. Responsibilities include responding to medical emergencies, fire suppression, fire prevention, and station duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must possess an active Paramedic license issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
  • Must have the ability to pass Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, comprehensive physical exam, drug test, and physical ability test (PAT).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful completion of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy.

Candidates and Veterans with previous successful completion of the MA Fire Academy or equivalent and at least two years of experience as a Paramedic in a 911 service will be given preference.

This is s full-time benefits-eligible union position. The starting salary range is $72,077 – $94,647* annually, and the full salary range is $72,077 – $96,540* annually. There are educational stipends available. ** The position will be open until it is filled.
