Full-time, benefited union position paying between $31.35-$32.13/hr, commensurate with experience, working on a rotating shift basis (24on/48off/24on/96off).
Duties include fighting fires and administering medical emergency care as required to protect life and property. Two years of paramedic experience in an emergency 911 setting preferred. Valid driver’s license required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Firefighter 1/11 certification preferred, but not required. If not already 1/11 certified, must pass firefighter training upon hire. Applicants evaluated by resume review, oral panel interview, written/oral board paramedic skills evaluation, and extensive background investigation. Must also meet requirements to practice within hospital control systems in accordance with their policies. Must live within 15-mile radius of Townsend within one year of hire.
