Position: The Littleton Fire Department will be conducting a selection process to fill an immediate vacancy for a full-time Firefighter/EMT – Paramedic. This employment search may result in a list of candidates for future positions and will expire in one year.
General Summary:
The Firefighter/EMT – Paramedic is expected to work on a rotating 24-hour schedule (one on/two off/one on/four off) for an average of 42 hours per week over an eight-week period. We operate two ALS ambulances at the paramedic/basic level.
The starting salary for this position is $67,024.24-$69,907.12 depending on firefighter and paramedic experience. The current top step for this position is $81,198.40. Rates are based upon FY24 figures (July 1). Excellent benefits, including county pension, health, dental, and life insurances. Educational incentives, generous clothing allowance and all medical licenses and training are paid for. We responded to over 2,300 emergency calls in 2022 out of one main station.
High school diploma, Massachusetts driver’s license, and EMT-P nationally recognized certification with Massachusetts licensure are required. For currently enrolled EMT-P candidates, will require certification within one year of hire. Firefighter 1-2 preferred. Candidate(s) will be required to complete the MFA recruit program within one year of hire if they have not already completed it. Must remain a non-smoker.
