The town of Pepperell seeks candidates for a Department Assistant to provide clerical support for the Pepperell Fire Department 32 hours per week; with opportunity to increase to 40 hours July 1, 2024.

Working under the direction of the Fire Chief, this benefited position will support all administrative functions of the fire and emergency medical services of the Pepperell Fire Department to include payroll processing, maintaining personnel and other confidential records, taking minutes, creating departmental correspondence, and similar clerical responsibilities. Position requires strong written and verbal skills, office computing experience, and positive customer service skills.

The position starting rate is $23.06 to $25.71 per hour, depending on qualifications. The position is open until filled with resume review to begin by Nov. 17.
