The town of Reading is accepting applications for the Fire Chief position.
This is a department head level position. Performs a variety of technical, administrative, and supervisory work in planning, organizing, directing, and implementing fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency medical services, and emergency management to prevent or minimize the loss of life and property by fire, emergency medical conditions, and other disasters. Ensures the town is in compliance with all state and federal requirements and that the public receives high quality fire, emergency medical, and emergency management services.
Expected Base Hiring Range:
$123,697.60 – $147,056.00 annually
Total Compensation (per credentials):
up to $190,000 annually
This is a full-time position with a typical 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Emergency incidents, special projects, committee assignments and training will require hours and days outside this range.
