West Bridgewater, Massachusetts (population 7,500) is seeking a Fire Chief due to retirement of the town’s long-time Fire Chief, to start April 1, 2021. Non-civil service department. Appointed by the Board of Selectmen; under administrative oversight of Town Administrator. Position will manage a $2.4M budget and oversee seventeen full-time firefighters who also provide EMS services. Minimum qualification of 12 years as a full-time fire department employee with a current minimum rank of Deputy Fire Chief or equivalent. Minimum education required is a bachelor’s degree in fire sciences or equivalent. State accreditation as a Fire Chief through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Fire Commission highly desirable.
