The town of Tyngsborough seeks qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Finance Director/Town Accountant to plan, provide accounting services, coordinate and supervise all operations of the Finance Department, consisting of all accounting and procurement in conformance with M.G.L. The ideal candidate shall possess at a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field; eight years of progressively responsible experience in public sector financial management with budgets of at least $20 million; strong working knowledge of state and municipal finance laws under GAAP and GASB standards; excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. SoftRight software experience and Mass. Municipal Accountants & Auditors Association (MMAAA) certification are preferred.
