The town of Dracut is seeking a forward‑thinking and experienced Finance Director to lead and manage all municipal financial operations. Reporting to the Town Manager, this position oversees Accounting, Assessing, Treasury, Tax Collection, Municipal Procurement, Investments, and Debt Service. The Finance Director serves as the Town’s chief financial strategist, responsible for budget development, financial planning, revenue forecasting, internal controls, and ensuring compliance with Massachusetts General Laws and professional accounting standards.

This role requires strong leadership, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Town departments, boards, and external agencies. The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree in finance, public administration, business administration, or a related field, along with at least five years of progressively responsible municipal finance experience and three years of supervisory experience. Bonding eligibility and proficiency with municipal financial software (such as VADAR or MUNIS) are required.

The full annual salary range for this position is $113,859.20–$162,337.76, with the anticipated hiring range up to $145,000, depending on qualifications.
