The town of Tyngsborough seeks qualified applicants for the full-time, 35-hour per week position of Finance Assistant in the Collector’s Office. This position is appointed by the Town Manager and is included in the town’s SEIU Clerical Union. The Finance Assistant works under the general direction of the Collector.

Key responsibilities include processing payments, calculating interest and penalties, reconciling receipts, responding to public inquiries, maintaining records, and providing backup support for payroll. The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to handle detailed administrative and accounting tasks independently. Assists with Accounts Payable processing.

Anticipated Salary Range: $24.32 – $25.95
