The town of Tyngsborough seeks qualified applicants for the position of Finance Clerk in the Treasurer Collector’s Office. This position performs a variety of technical and clerical work related to billing and collecting town revenues, and assists the Town Treasurer/Collector, citizens, and others. Provides assistance to the Treasurer/Collector with treasury duties as necessary. Assists department staff with the processing of bi-weekly payroll and acts as a backup to the Finance Department Assistant. Understands the basic state statutes concerning collections, interest, and penalties. This is a part-time position for up to 19 hours weekly. The position is covered by the SEIU Local 888 Clerical Union. Salary range: $17.50 – $19.09 per hour DOQ.
