The town of Winchendon is seeking an Executive Assistant/HR in the Office of the Town Manager. This position is responsible for providing a variety of complex administrative, analytical, and professional duties. Provides assistance to the Town Manager and is responsible for human resource administration, assistance with procurement, and special projects as assigned. Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal personnel policies, rules, and regulations; preparing agendas, packets and Executive Session meeting minutes; licensing businesses; managing the town’s insurance; processing department payroll and invoices; and managing department budgets. Must have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to plan projects and to meet deadlines. This position requires attendance at biweekly Select Board evening meetings.

Associate or bachelor’s degree or five years’ administrative experience in a municipal setting required, or any equivalent combination of education and municipal experience. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, extremely detail oriented professional. The position requires a high level of confidentiality, self-prioritization and impressive organization skills.
