The town of Natick is seeking a passionate and motivated full-time Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Specialist for the department of Public Works and Facilities. In this hands-on role, you will help foster a culture of safety and environmental compliance across all town operations. Your work will directly impact the well-being of town employees and residents. Be a key contributor to Natick’s safety mission.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement workplace safety programs
- Coordinate DLS/OSHA training and compliance
- Conduct safety inspections and accident investigations
- Support environmental compliance, especially within the Water division
- Assist in emergency preparedness
- Collaborate with other town divisions/departments
- Act as a liaison to regulatory agencies
Requirements
- A degree in safety, science, industrial hygiene, or related field
- Experience with EH&S and regulatory compliance; one to three years preferable
- Knowledge of DLS/OSHA and MassDEP/EPA regulations
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills
- Preferred certifications such as ASP, CSP, or HAZWOPER

Compensation and Benefits
The town of Natick offers a competitive salary and a generous benefits package. This position is in a union (Local 272 Grade C11) with a salary range of $60,000 – $71,000; actual salary dependent upon qualifications and experience.
