Working as part of the Human Resources team, this position will play an important role in the administration and implementation of city-wide employee relations programs and initiatives that align with industry best practices and advance a workforce culture which reflects the city’s values of anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Employee Relations Specialist will provide research and analysis to assist with the negotiation and interpretation of labor agreements, participate in the resolution of grievances, and consult with other city staff on employee relations issues. Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of training and years of experience. Two years of experience in labor relations or human resources administration, preferably in the public sector and/or a unionized environment. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office products. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with solid customer service orientation. Ability to compile information/data and format into tables or other exhibits for analysis. Understanding of employment-related laws and regulations preferred. $59,666-$82,337 annually with competitive benefits. Submit your resume and cover letter via email to: by March 23.
