The city of Fitchburg is seeking an experienced candidate to fill the position of Employee Benefits Coordinator. Under the supervision and direction of the Payroll and Benefits Manager, the Employee Benefits Coordinator is responsible to perform a variety of duties related to the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility, billing, and record-keeping functions for self-funded health/medical, dental and life insurance, voluntary benefits, and FSA’s for approximately 1,250 employees and 900 City retirees. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in business, human resources management, or related field and three or more years of benefits/payroll administration or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position; the salary range for this union position $50,180 – $83,876.
