The city of Lowell is seeking qualified, experienced, and energetic candidates for the position of Emergency Management Specialist within the Emergency Management/ Fire Dept.  

This position reports to the Emergency Management Coordinator and will be the primary contact for City Staff for all policies, procedures and best practices in COVID-19 response; Serves in the Incident Command Structure as the Safety Officer for the COVID-19 response and recovery and is dedicated solely to implementation and coordination of emergency protective measures, as categorized by FEMA. This may include any or all of: coordinating efforts to determine how city facilities are utilized, coordinating efforts to determine how employees operate and provide service, and coordinating efforts to determine how the city implements best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A bachelor’s degree in public health, emergency management, nursing, healthcare administration, or a related field and two to five years of relevant experience; OR any combination of experience, education and training.  The salary ranges from $70,247.32 (min) to $82,453.28 (max) annually.
