The town of Southwick is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as Director of Public Works. This is a full-time, exempt position responsible for the planning, direction, and oversight of a broad range of public works functions, including highway maintenance, municipal buildings and grounds, water, sewer, and storm water systems, fleet management, solid waste and recycling, and more.

The DPW Director provides administrative leadership, manages departmental staff and operations, and ensures efficient and responsive delivery of public works services to the community. This key role requires a balance of hands-on field experience, technical knowledge, and strong administrative, financial, and personnel management skills.

Required: Minimum eight years’ experience in public works, including four years in a supervisory role and a valid driver’s license. Preferred: MCPPO, PE license, CDL, and/or union experience.
