Business Manager for the Department of Public Works; Full-time.

The town of Acushnet is seeking a Business Manager for the department of Public Works to manage the overall administrative operations of the department of Public Works including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, compiling mandated reports, and data entry. This position also manages the utility billing systems (Water and Sewer); overseeing timely billing of commercial and residential accounts while acting as a liaison between the Water and Sewer Division staff, utility billing system users, and the customers.

Minimum Qualifications: associate degree in business administration, accounting, or a related degree; over three years of experience in a municipal environment, preferably supervisory; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with MUNIS or Tyler municipal accounting software preferred. Possession of a Mass. Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s License required.

Full-time Salary Range $60,000.00 to $75,000.00. Salary commensurate with Experience and Qualifications (DOQE)
