Exeter, New Hampshire (16,000) seeks a skilled and visionary leader who will hit the ground running to successfully lead a team of talented and committed public works professionals in a fast-paced environment with high service demand, complexity, and volume. With an operating budget of $17.4 million, the Director of Public Works is responsible for the planning, supervision, and management of the 46 FT and three PTE’s across four divisions: Engineering, Water & Sewer, Highway, and Maintenance, which includes capital projects, roadways, bridges, dams, storm water, water, sewer, town buildings, fleet, landfill, and solid waste & recycling.

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, master’s in business/public administration and eight or more years of progressively responsible, relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
