The city of Northampton is expanding its structure concerning public health and community care. This new position will work directly under the Northampton Commissioner of Health and supervise the two divisions outlined in the title of the position.

Full-time (40 Hours) Position:
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:  $84,385 – $95,488

Essential Functions:
Facilitate weekly meetings; coordinate public health activities regionally; manage grant reporting, grant writing, managing the shared service framework and the strategic prevention framework, in cooperation with municipal public health department leads, in order to set priorities for the shared staff and provide a system that allocates staff hours across the shared service area making sure all deliverables are met.

Cultivation of partnerships to enhance public health services – Develop, engage, and maintain strong relationships with key community stakeholders.

Coordinate education and outreach, in prevention and health promotion work.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, social work or related field with a minimum of eight to ten years’ experience. Strongly prefer master’s degree with at least five years professional experience in public health and substance use prevention.
