This leadership role manages the Inspectional Services Department, enforces Massachusetts State Building Codes, and ensures local zoning compliance. Ideal candidates have valid MA Building Commissioner certification or the ability to obtain one.
This is a full-time, Monday through Thursday position. The salary, depending upon experience, is $97,503.12 – $113,032.84 (probationary step through step 5 of a nine-step salary matrix with top step of $131,036.04), annually based upon 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year. There is also a very generous benefits package, including paid time off, professional development, health and dental insurance (paid at 68% and 75% of premiums), a pension through Plymouth County Retirement Board once vested and other fantastic benefits. This is an overtime exempt, union position.
