Position: non-union, full-time, exempt, benefit eligible
Annual salary: $85,000 to $105,000

Definition:
Position is responsible for performing a broad range of human resource functions directing and supervising the personnel systems of the town, including classification, compensation, recruitment, selection, labor relations, and training. Work requires the exercise of discretion in handling confidential human resources and labor contract negotiation matters as well as performing daily activities based on a complete knowledge of public personnel administration. Work is performed under the general guidance of the Town Manager and in accordance with prevailing policies, laws, regulations and rules applicable to specific areas of program activity. Work is reviewed through conferences and reports for overall program effectiveness and efficiency.

Education, skills and experience:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management or a related field. Six years of experience in human resources with at least two of those years in municipal management, preferably in local government. Master’s degree or professional certification as a human resources professional (SPHR) preferred. Supervisory and leadership skills required.
