The Wayland Public Schools is seeking a Director of Finance and Operations who will be responsible for the financial and operational functions of the Wayland Public Schools; facilitate and promote the economical use of all resources under the jurisdiction of the School Committee; maintain an effective relationship between the system’s business operations and the objectives and needs of the system’s educational programs and services; and coordinate budgeting, payroll/benefits, accounting and operations information with the appropriate town offices.

A bachelor’s degree with a substantial background in business administration required, master’s degree preferred; prior experience as a School Business Administrator or other school district administrator; expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; familiarity with municipal accounting, DESE reporting requirements, and Massachusetts General Law pertaining to public education.

Salary commensurate with experience.
