The Rockland Board of Assessor’s is seeking highly qualified team-oriented candidates for the position of Director of Assessing. The Director of Assessing is responsible for the valuation and taxation of real and personal property within the town of Rockland in accordance with state requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and minimum five years of experience in assessing real estate taxation preferred, which at least three years were in an administrative or supervisory position, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts accredited assessor (MAA) professional designation or its equivalent.
Full-time, excellent benefits, including BCBSMA town contribution of 79% of the premium and 50% of the dental premium. Work extended hours two Tuesday nights/month September to June and Fridays off in July and August. Salary DOQ and relevant experience.
