The Maine Municipal Association is accepting resumes for a newly created position of Director, Educational Services. The Association is about to embark on an exciting statewide comprehensive curriculum development and coordination project designed to aid municipalities in which will involve partnering with many educational and training institutions. This individual will take the lead role in overseeing and managing the Association’s new focus including the overall training and affiliate group services, curriculum development and citizen education efforts regarding municipal government.

The successful candidate will have a passion for improving local government and strong background and working knowledge of educational programming specific to our municipal membership including curriculum development. Demonstrated experience in managing multi-faceted operations along with excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as education or public administration required along with five to six years’ experience working in education and training preferably with a curriculum development background. An advanced degree is desirable. Must possess strong supervisory and leadership skills.
