DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES

FACILITIES DEPARTMENT

Non-Union Exempt – Grade 19

Salary Range: $105,000. – $121,000.

Max Salary exceeds Range

Additional $ commensurate with experience

Performs supervisory, administrative, and technical work in overseeing the maintenance, custodial services, and overall upkeep of town and school buildings and grounds. Responsible for ensuring that all facilities have a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan, implementing initiatives related to building automation and metering systems, and developing and maintaining equipment and logs. Also assists the Director with budgeting, capital planning, and the management of facilities staff to ensure that all buildings are safe, functional, and efficiently operated.

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, structural, mechanical, or civil engineering, or facilities management or related field; minimum of five to seven years’ experience in building and facilities maintenance and construction, at least three of which are in a supervisory capacity; or any equivalent. Valid Massachusetts license. Certified Construction Manager desirable. Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official certification is required, or must be willing to obtain certification within twelve months of the hire date.

Full time, 40 hours per week position, complete benefits.
