The IT Department seeks applicants for a unique opportunity to become the town’s first Cybersecurity Administrator. The selected candidate will provide leadership for our efforts to ensure the continued security and reliability of the town’s data, finances, and technology services.
As Cybersecurity Administrator, you’ll work with a team of technology professionals to:
- Develop a formal and comprehensive cybersecurity and risk management program.
- Implement next-generation cybersecurity tools (like EDR/MDR) to protect against today’s threat landscape.
- Manage secure and collaborative services on the town’s Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Secure access to systems and data with multifactor authentication and other methods.
What you’ll need: Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to, a bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related technical discipline; five years of experience administering IT systems for medium/large organizations; and experience with EDR/MDR systems like Arctic Wolf, CrowdStrike, or Sophos. A security certification such as Security+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP is preferred.
This is a full-time position (35 hours/week) with an anticipated hiring range of $80,000-$90,000, DOQ.
