The town of Plymouth seeks qualified applicants for the position of Cybersecurity Administrator in the Information Technology Department.

Leads the efforts to secure and protect the Town’s systems and data from unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction. Installs, configures, maintains, upgrades, and troubleshoots applications, network connectivity, hardware, and operating systems to prevent cyber security incidents.
Responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and analyzing log files and other security tools to report any unusual or suspect activities, including potential incidents, network intrusions, or malware events. Provides cyber related education campaigns and manages phishing simulations. Research emerging trends, threats, and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of network incidents and recommends security best practices. Supervises outside contractors performing system-related projects and activities including third party security testing when appropriate. Works under the administrative direction of the IT Director, or their designee.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, information security, or related field required; minimum of four years of experience in a similar environment performing security, network, and technology administration or any equivalent combination of education, training, certifications, and experience. Valid MA Class D Driver’s license required. CompTIA Security+ and CySA+ Certification preferred.
