Barnstable County is accepting applications from qualified individuals to provide leadership and technical assistance for the county’s accounting and auditing operations. Responsibilities include: oversight and management of the county’s financial reporting system, coordination of all internal auditing activities, and assistance with the preparation of the departmental budget in conjunction with the Director of the department. Requirements: bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; seven year’s work experience, five of which is required to be progressively responsible; financial and administrative experience in municipal financial management; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Governmental Accountant required or the ability to obtain one. Certified Public Accountant preferred. Experience with MUNIS financial management systems preferred. Annual salary is $90,189.51 – $104,554.16, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous benefits package. Position is open until filled.
