The town of Weston seeks a dynamic professional for the position of Council on Aging (COA) Director. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position. Under the direction of the COA Board, the Director determines needs and develops and administers delivery of programs and services for the older adult population, their caregivers and their families. The position requires thorough knowledge of resources available to the older adult population and knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations. Experience working with older adults and grant writing required. Knowledge of effective strategies for implementing age-friendly community philosophies. Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, strategic planning and marketing skills required. Bachelor’s degree in human services, gerontology, or related field; master’s degree preferred; four to six years of experience in social service administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
