Applications for the position of CPC/COPC COORDINATOR (A5) for the town of Plymouth, Finance Department, are being accepted in the Human Resources Department through September 20. Hourly Rate: $31.8023, 37.5 hours per week including nights.
Responsible for managing and organizing the activities of the Community Preservation Committee (CPC), Committee of Precinct Chairs (COPC), and relevant COPC sub-committees and providing staff support; posts agendas and legal notices, must attend CPC/COPC and relevant sub-committees evening meetings, takes and transcribes minutes, maintains records, prepares educational materials. Responsible for coordinating the activities of the Community Preservation Committee, Committee of Precinct Chairs and facilitating communication between administrators, departments, Town Counsel, committee members and/or the public; makes effective presentations to elected and appointed officials; provides information and assistance to the general public. Assists in managing the CPA budget and CPA Grants; prepares reports on current CPC funds expenditures and fund balances. Coordinates the application process for granting CPA funds. Coordinates the regular monthly work of the COPC; ensures compliance with the Town Charter as well as the community’s short-term and long-range program goals and performance objectives; supports the COPC in evaluating the needs, possibilities, and resources of the town. Conducts high level policy research on behalf of the COPC. Provides regular article updates to the COPC, community and town website.
Bachelor’s degree in community planning, public policy, public administration, finance or other related field. Minimum of three to five years of professional experience in grant writing and/or management, or comparable experience in the public or private sector
