Job Title: Conservation Agent

Salary/Compensation: $29,921 – $37,402 (20hrs/week).

Work Schedule: 20 hours/week. BENEFITS ELIGIBLE.

The Conservation Agent is responsible for professional, technical, and administrative work in assisting the Conservation Commission to administer the Wetlands Protection Act and the Medfield Wetlands Bylaw. Maintains and promotes Medfield’s conservation lands and trails. Work includes reviewing applications to the Conservation Commission and interacting with other town officials on development projects; performs all other related work as required.

Bachelor’s degree preferred in natural resources management, environmental sciences, soil science, or a related field; three to five years of related experience in the field of wetlands protection; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid drivers’ license.

Working knowledge of Wetlands Protection Acts and state DEP regulations, policies, programs, and operations; knowledge of the applicable provision of Massachusetts General Laws concerning Conservation Commission operations.
