The town of Falmouth has an immediate opening for a temporary, part-time Computer Support Specialist-Zoom Moderator. The purpose of the position is to moderate Zoom meetings for the town of Falmouth, including assisting panelists with any participation/technical issues as well as providing expert technical advice and support services in I.T. practices throughout the town. Responsibilities include: Field incoming zoom meeting requests from end users via telephone and email; Familiarize and promote good practices for town of Falmouth remote meeting policies and requirements, including public and open meeting law requirements; Identify, diagnose, and resolve problems for users that are having technical difficulties connecting to zoom calls – this requires a technical background that can troubleshoot complex issues in a remote manner; Document, track and monitor problems in a timely resolution; Assist in tracking help desk calls pertaining to committee communications including Zoom, email and phone; Promote a very high level of customer satisfaction through proper telephone techniques and respond with the elevated level of urgency to user problems; Assign user-name, password and access right permissions for committee meetings in the Zoom dashboard and other applications; Provide hardware support of end-user equipment, such as installing replacement hardware or upgrading hardware; Create weekly reports / dashboards on activity and challenges; Other duties as assigned.

This will be an off-hour remote position for up to three days a week that will frequently require moderating meetings past 4:30 p.m. and occasionally lasting to 1 a.m. in the morning. Minimum one day per week in the Falmouth I.T. office during regular business hours will also be required. Ability to handle a flexible schedule, up to 29 hours per work week, with shifting hourly requirements. Must have a high speed Internet connection from the place of work (minimum 50mbps down/10mbps up).

High school diploma / GED Required. One plus years in IT support role. High familiarity with technology, namely the ability to actively troubleshoot Internet/Client connections with Zoom participants. Excellent communication and ability to work with different committee groups are essential.
