The city of Marlborough is currently accepting applicants for the position of Comptroller/Treasurer, the Chief Financial Officer of the city of Marlborough. Responsibilities include overseeing the city’s investments and cash management activities, managing all city debt service functions, participating in the bond issuance process, and overseeing the city-wide payroll system; all other related work as required. Also responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control. Coordinates and leads the city’s budget process with department heads, in conjunction with the City Auditor, and under the Direction of the Mayor. Assists the Mayoral Administration in developing and evaluating the annual Operating Budget as well as the Revenue Budget as well as developing an effective Capital Plan and the recommending appropriate debt service structuring. Salary Range: $130,531.79 – $147,000* (*pending City Council approval).
